Find the manual for your chosen ability, read it in the inventory, then learn the matching Witchcraft node. This index covers three routes already documented here: Bear Trouble for Ravenous Flock, the Cursed Chasm circle for Cycle of Ruin, and the convent library for an extra Mercurial Fervour manual. It is a route index, not a complete list of every copy.
Choose the matching manual route

For the Ravenous Flock quest trigger or climb, use the complete Bear Trouble walkthrough. Cycle of Ruin uses the circle route instead; do not transfer one quest's prerequisites to the other. Mercurial Fervour is an extra copy for an ability opened around the prologue, so check the tier you need if you already have it.
Read the book and check its node
- Open the inventory and select the exact manual. The PC default is
I; use your current prompt after remapping. - Choose Read on that item. The default is
Enter, and a book page should open. - Return to Witchcraft. Reading consumes the manual, so its absence from inventory can be the normal result.
- Check the matching ability tier. Another copy can make a later tier eligible if you already know the basic ability.
- Review the node's remaining Skill Point and learning-time conditions, then confirm the purchase.
- Verify the resulting node state. For other branches and prerequisites, continue with the skill unlock checklist.
Match the blocker to the missing action
A book still in your bag needs a reading check. A consumed book with a locked node needs a requirement and tier check. Vampirism uses different conditions, so do not look for a Witchcraft manual to open its nodes.
If you never received the named book, return to its acquisition page and check the relevant reward interaction. Separate an unfinished route from an unlearned node before travelling back.
Frugal Witchcraft: church platform route
- At Laslea Glen's church, approach the exterior wall and use the Clawride prompt to reach the roof.
- From the ridge, locate the wooden platform beside the roof and descend to its chest.
- Open the container and select Frugal Witchcraft Manual; check your inventory afterward.
The pictured loot list confirms the item. Its Anca quest tracker does not establish a prerequisite. Read the manual and check the matching Witchcraft node before purchasing the perk; possession alone does not teach it.
Life Lock: follow the quest interaction
Use the Who Pulls the Strings walkthrough to reach Silas's Book and check Life Lock after inspecting it. This route already documents a conflict over a supposed locked-chest requirement; do not buy unrelated manuals to resolve that uncertainty.

Check your target in the skill tree, select the vendor item and compare its full name and tier. This image selects Unholy Fervour, not Unholy Vitality; matching cover colour or price is insufficient. The pictured stock, price and unlock tier do not establish those in your save.
