- Select the equipped armor and read its class.
- Inspect its penalty and your current character values before changing pieces.
- Find the matching Second Skin node in Swordmastery; medium and heavy armor use different tiers.

Check armorers in Maragir or Svartrau City for Second Skin I. For Second Skin II, check Svartrau City or Tantari. Verify the book in stock before buying; exact stall coordinates and prices remain unconfirmed here. Random drops are not a dependable shopping route.
Read, unlock and verify
- Read the matching manual in inventory, then reopen Swordmastery.
- Inspect the connected prerequisite. PowerPyx calls it Vigour; another translation uses Resilience. Follow the live tree connection rather than assuming these are separate prerequisites.
- Meet the displayed requirements and purchase the perk. Reinspect the same armor afterwards to verify the penalty changed.
If you cannot buy it yet
Compare actual equipment values and penalties before replacing your current set. Follow the early equipment route to fill empty slots, then choose pieces for the actions you actually use.
