Clear the soldiers for the camp activity; search the central tent for the Sword Shard. These are separate completion checks. This page covers Xanthe’s camp, not Vicho’s investigation.
Scout and enter
- Approach the camp near Tantari Watermill. On the overlooking hillside, look for a branch wrapped with fabric and interact to scout.
- Enter the camp when prepared to fight. Clear the guards, including soldiers on the outer wooden walkways.
- Check the captive after combat and use the prisoner interaction. His conversation is separate from finding the shard.
Check the camp and shard separately

If the shard objective still points to the cave, inspect its bodies and painting first. Searching camp corpses is not a substitute for checking the tent. Earlier ATH accounts name a chest, while its newer shard overview places the pickup on a barrel to the right of the entrance. The exact container is unconfirmed; inspect that side of the tent as well as its chest rather than treating either description as guaranteed.

Confirm the shard in inventory, then continue Forge It Anew. The written accounts used here are from ATH; they do not independently confirm every branch outcome. Exact rewards and the captive’s later fate remain unverified here.
