Clear the guarded house in Svartrau, inspect the blood stock and search upstairs before leaving. Master Dietmar’s conversation is a separate opportunity from destroying the barrels.
Reach the cellar stock
- Look for Ambrus’s marked holding in Altenmarkt, inside Svartrau. Clear the guards by the entrance and enter the house.
- Use Focus Mode to follow the blood trail down the stairs to the stock room. Defeat the remaining guard and inspect the containers.
- Interact with the blood barrels. ATH records that collecting blood first still allows the destruction objective; confirm the stock is destroyed afterward instead of leaving after collecting.
Search upstairs before departing
- Go upstairs and inspect the highlighted alchemy equipment. Search the corner door beside the stored bags and crates for Dietmar.
- Finish his conversation. ATH records extra items for sparing him, but these come from that encounter rather than the blood-barrel interaction.
- Check the completed stock objective and your inventory separately. Leaving after destroying the barrels can miss the upstairs content.
Barrels destroyed, but the activity is still open?
Check whether the tracker now says Investigate the house. Continue the upstairs search and Dietmar conversation rather than repeatedly attacking emptied barrels. ATH additionally reports guards arriving outside after the stock is destroyed; if they engage, resolve the fight before resuming the search. This wave has not been independently verified here, so its absence is not proof of a broken quest. Check the final journal state separately from collected items.
What needs confirmation
PowerPyx confirms the house, barrels and upstairs NPC, but does not independently detail Dietmar’s item branch. Treat the exact extra reward as source-reported rather than a guaranteed drop. This activity contributes to Ambrus’s court progression; one cellar does not itself guarantee the duel unlock.
