Complete the interception and cargo objectives in Dawnwalker Past Glory to obtain Ring of the Night. Gamer Guides confirms the two-stage journal sequence, the ring reward and a three-segment cost. A defeated escort alone is not the final checkpoint.
Find the right transport
- Search the forest south of Sybilla’s as described in the ring guide, then identify Xanthe’s Transports: Past Glory in the journal. Compare the regional map below rather than pursuing a different Xanthe marker.
- Approach the guards to activate the encounter. ATH disagrees about whether they remain stationary; Gamer Guides describes approaching them on their route. If the spot is empty, inspect the nearby road before assuming the activity is unavailable.
Clear the escort and inspect the goods
- Resolve the escort fight and check for remaining attackers if interception stays active. Preserve room to retreat when surrounded; the source’s damage screenshot is not a required attack strength.
- When the objective changes to looting, inspect the cargo barrels as well as bodies. Check for Orders from Xanthe instead of leaving after collecting ordinary scrap.
- Confirm the activity ended, then find Ring of the Night in inventory. Equip and inspect it separately; picking it up is not the same as placing it in a ring slot.
If the ring or completion is missing
Read the current objective first. Interception points back to the encounter; a goods objective points back to cargo. Use that distinction before repeating the whole route or assuming a random reward failure.
Compare the item you actually received
ATH’s pages give conflicting levels and describe zero-value lines differently. Do not convert a displayed zero into a penalty or promise the pictured percentages. Compare your current ring card before replacing equipment, especially when changing between day and night builds.
