Inspect the key attached to the Treasury Ledger, exit the inspection to collect it, then open the separate Treasury building in the cathedral garden. Its concealed basement contains the Stone Key for the ruins.

Obtain the Treasury Key

  1. Enter the cathedral by day and speak to the Acolyte controlling access to the ledger room. Sources describe helping with boxes or a payment route; use the available conversation and check its displayed cost.
  2. Inspect the ledger on the table, turn it to examine the attached key, then leave the inspection view. Confirm Treasury Key in your inventory before crossing the courtyard.
  3. At night, the roof and open-tower route is an alternative, but it can expose you to Xanthe. Daytime access avoids making that encounter a prerequisite for this key.

Find the hidden room and Stone Key

  1. Open the Treasury in the garden north of the cathedral. Inspect the movable bookshelf inside and push it aside.
  2. Descend the revealed ladder and open the hatch. Search the lower chamber with Focus Mode; collect the Stone Key near the cross and verify its name.
  3. If working on A Monk and a Saint, inspect and rotate the goblet to reveal the symbol clue. Merely opening the Treasury does not complete that investigation.

Use the correct key at the correct lock

Carry the Stone Key into A Hero’s End for the optional stone chest containing The Hand of Fate. The Ancient Key is still needed at the ruin entrance. If a lock remains closed, compare its location with these three distinct key names rather than revisiting the ledger automatically.

The treasury also contains Xanthe’s blood according to the sources. Check the actual item before using it; this pickup is separate from the key and goblet objectives.
