The sealed chest needs the Ritual Dagger and the nearby corpse’s information. It is a separate interaction after Armaya, not a reward you automatically receive by defeating her.
Reach Armaya and finish the research objective
- Approach the guard at the narrow entrance to trigger Bloodied Dagger.
- Clear the ruins and enter the final chamber. Against Armaya, move out of the marked spell areas and close in between casts.
- Resolve her dialogue, then check her body for Armaya’s Notebook and confirm the research objective in the journal.
Open the sealed chest
- Use Focus Mode to search the chamber’s left wall near the vases; collect the Ritual Dagger.
- Use Compel Soul on the corpse in front of the chest. Ask about the dagger to learn its use as a key.
- Return to the chest, use the dagger and collect Ancient Footwear. Confirm the boots in inventory.
If the seal remains
Check the dagger pickup, the correct corpse, and the dagger conversation in that order. Armaya’s body and the assistant’s body serve different purposes. Exact armour values and time-of-day transitions remain unverified; inspect your own item and confirmation prompts. See armour requirements before equipping the boots.
