Reach the interaction
- Find the recruiters in central Svartrau’s courtyard. The precise map coordinates remain unconfirmed here.
- Talk to the Blood Guard and challenge him to demonstrate the blood’s strength.
- Defeat the hostiles, then follow the body-search objective before resolving the container below.

Check the remaining objective
After combat, follow the body-search objective and look for Recruitment Instructions. Then resolve the container; the document alone does not complete this activity. Check the nearby chest separately for a document revealing more activities.
ATH's two accounts disagree on whether every dialogue reply triggers combat. The challenge route above is reported explicitly; alternative replies are not verified here. If the objective stays active, check for surviving enemies and whether you left the container without making a choice.
Before drinking the reward
Method identifies the phial as a consumable connected to Piercing Shriek and increased Corruption when drunk. Receiving it and consuming it are separate actions: read its inventory description before using it. Exact Corruption gains remain unconfirmed for your version.
From the phial to Piercing Shriek: check each stage
The new ATH route identifies the courtyard by Defeat Blood Guard recruiters, then the golden reliquary on a table beside the recruiters. Use the challenge route already described above to clear the encounter. Conflicting accounts about every dialogue leading to combat remain unresolved; this is not an instruction to attack civilians.
- After the fight, approach the reliquary, choose Inspect, then collect vrakhiri blood. Do not destroy it if you want this phial.
- Check Consumables for Phial of Brencis’s Blood. A quest-ended banner alone does not confirm that you collected it.
- Read its effect and drink it only if you accept the Corruption increase. Check for the new-power notification and find Piercing Shriek in Vampirism.
- At a shrine, check the remaining node requirements and confirm learning when eligible. Put the learned ability in your Ability Wheel; available-to-buy is not learned.
- At night, check form, equipped ability and the resource requirements shown on screen before using it. A night-only power being unavailable by day is not a reason to drink another phial.
