At night, investigate the cathedral well and the thief's pouch below. Mihai's grave is covered in the linked follow-up.
Choose the branch before approaching
This activity can conflict with A Dubious Gift / Cathedral Ritual. Preserve a save before approaching, then check the Court activity checklist and choose which objective you want to keep active.
Find the well, then the missing interaction
- Enter from the western garden and search the courtyard area north of the cathedral for the covered well. Keep Night Terrors tracked so the interaction prompt identifies the correct well.
- Inspect the well to remove its cover. If the descent prompt does not appear and Shadowstep is available, activate it beside the opening and check again; whether it is mandatory on every route remains unconfirmed.
- Crouch through; use Focus on the wall-side body and search its right-hand pouch. Check the note and follow-up in your journal.
Still inside the cave?
After taking the note, check the journal. If Night Terrors is still active, continue through the Kobold encounter, interact with the movable rock and leave through the opened exit. This covers both reported completion points without repeating the cave.
Do not repeat combat solely because this page and your journal show different stages. If the follow-up is active, use A Monk and a Saint for the symbol and grave. Keep the save, current objective and missing prompt when diagnosing a stalled transition.
