Find Iorgu's pig by following its tracks from the bridge to Kuno's camp, then pursue it toward the abandoned house. An apple makes the catch easier, but PowerPyx also describes catching it by interaction without one. Finish On the Run before Sacred Covenant.

From Iorgu to the escaped pig

  1. Talk to Iorgu at his fence south of Laslea Centre shrine. The quest is available after All Good Things. If you already spoke to Kuno, your journal may skip directly to recovering the pig.
  2. Take the road west and the northwestern fork to the bridge. Pick an apple near the bridge if available. Cross and inspect the ground with Focus for cloven hoofprints.
  3. Follow the riverbank tracks to Kuno. In his ownership argument, asserting your own authority starts a fistfight; invoking Brencis lets you avoid it. The pig runs away in either route.
  4. Follow the pig toward the ruined house. This is also the starting area for Enter Not, but that separate quest is not a prerequisite.
  5. Approach and use the apple interaction. Without an apple, chase close enough to use the catch prompt. No fixed number of attempts is assumed.
  6. Finish the return conversation with Iorgu. Choose how to respond to his plans, then check the completed journal entry.

Help, refuse or buy?

Helping with the slaughter earns the recorded 250 XP and 50 Denarius, with food offered as well. Refusing to help still earns the recorded XP and money. Buying the pig instead requires 100 Denarius; NightlyGamingBinge lists 250 XP for this branch, not the usual coin reward.

The food quantity differs between guides, so this page does not promise an exact meat bundle. ATH claims the purchased pig later brings a profitable follow-up, but its return value is unconfirmed here. Choose the purchase to save the animal, not on a guaranteed investment return.

If you choose to help, follow the handling prompts and finish the conversation afterwards. ATH describes opportunities to withdraw during the scene; this page does not infer an identical reward for every possible mid-scene exit.

How much time should you reserve?

PowerPyx and NightlyGamingBinge list one segment; Gamer Guides and ATH list two. The discrepancy remains unresolved. Allow room for two when planning, but treat that as a cautious planning allowance and read each in-game prompt.

Do not rely on ATH's claim that time is locked until the ending. A near-deadline start is not guaranteed safe. Review prologue order before committing to the search.

Tracking or catching has stalled

Check the active objective first: an earlier encounter with Kuno can legitimately bypass the bridge search. During the chase, follow the animal to its stopping point and approach for the interaction. After the pig returns, continue speaking to Iorgu; seeing it in the pen is not the same as completing the final choice.
