The Mireleaf Bracers are in the central sarcophagus of Deep Down’s circular mural chamber. Inspect every wall-mural point that still highlights, then return to the center and loot the sarcophagus. Nearby urns, corpses, and shelves do not contain the target bracers. You also have to pass the Forgotten Guardian to leave, so use this as a route for collecting and bringing the item out, rather than as a single-container marker.

Check the quest window before you descend

After All Good Things, start Deep Down from Gavril’s farm or trigger the route by finding the bog pit. Sources state that the quest must be completed before Sacred Covenant. If Lazar’s rescue outcome matters to you, do not leave the descent until late in the prologue. The bracers are not tied to Lazar’s final state, but the underground route must still advance for you to exit normally.

Open the journal before leaving and confirm that the current target still points to the peat bogs or Deep Down. Prepare your equipment and read any hourglass prompt before key actions. For which actions can advance time, see time management and hourglass checks. This guide does not use a fixed remaining-time value or item stat as an entry requirement; rely on the in-game prompt.

Find the bog-area pit from Laslea Glen

  1. Take the northwest road from Laslea Glen, cross the bridge, and continue toward the peat bogs. The shrine by the bog area is your direction check.
  2. After the shrine, find Lazar’s abandoned two-wheeled cart. With your weapon sheathed, hold right mouse button for Focus and follow the footprints.
  3. The tracks pass a dropped basket, blood, and wolf signs. Keep following them until you reach the pit and the wolves near it.
  4. Resolve the wolves or pass them, then descend. Entering the pit only begins the cave route; it is not a completed quest step.

If you accepted the task from Gavril but cannot find the cart, return to the road and shrine direction, then use Focus again. Do not jump into a different unverified hole from the map. The cart, tracks, basket and blood, then pit form the route’s verification chain; when it breaks, return to the last confirmed point.

Underground river, Lazar, and the constructed ruins

  1. The pit bottom has one main way forward. By the dying torch, search the nearby food sack and take a torch for light. This is not the bracer container, but it helps with the narrow passage.
  2. Follow the underground river to the squeeze-through gap. If a time confirmation appears, read it before choosing; passing it advances the later part of Deep Down.
  3. Continue along the river in the next cavern, find Lazar, and finish the current talk or investigation. Then move south and uphill through the opening into the constructed ruins.
  4. Keep Focus active inside the ruins and follow the clues: a hound skeleton, non-Lazar tracks, a corpse, books, and tablets confirm that you are still on the right route. Jars and shelves may be looted, but they are not the Mireleaf Bracers source.
  5. Follow skeletal footprints until the corridors open into the circular chamber with a central sarcophagus. Do not leave after only looting the surrounding containers.

Use this order to make the sarcophagus available

  1. From the chamber entrance, walk the wall to the left and inspect every mural interaction that still highlights yellow. Continue along the wall after each inspection instead of stopping at the first panel.
  2. Use “no uninspected wall highlight remains” as the check, then return to the center. Sources report that the sarcophagus does not become the correct interaction until the mural clues are complete.
  3. Interact with and loot the central sarcophagus to receive Mireleaf Bracers. The room’s urns, shelves, and corpse hold other items and do not substitute for it.
  4. Open inventory immediately and check the arms slot and item name. The name Mireleaf Bracers confirms the target; do not identify it by armour, level, or bonus values because reports differ on those details.

Get past the Forgotten Guardian

  1. Take the eastern hallway from the circular chamber to the exit hall. Organize the equipment you just obtained before approaching the Forgotten Guardian.
  2. When both blades show the glowing unblockable attack cue, dodge with a movement direction plus Space. For normal attacks, wait for a perfect-block opening, counter once, and return to guard.
  3. Loot the Guardian after the fight, take the far platform and stairs, and return to the surface. Do not attempt to force your way out through an earlier route while the quest is active; this encounter advances the known exit path.
  4. If Deep Down remains in the journal, return to Gavril and confirm its state. Getting the bracers completes this page’s goal, but it does not settle the entire side quest.

Troubleshoot by checking the right state

If the sarcophagus has no interaction, first look for a remaining yellow-highlighted mural on the chamber’s left wall; it is the usual missed step. If no bracers are in inventory, make sure you looted the central sarcophagus, not a surrounding container. If the exit is blocked, do not hunt for a new fork: the Forgotten Guardian in the eastern exit hall is the documented obstruction. Checking in that order lets you collect the item and leave without guessing values or taking detours.
