Matter of Honour ends by defeating the headhunters; asking their captain for a duel does not guarantee a solo encounter. PowerPyx describes fighting the entire group, while Gamer Guides records a separate captain-duel objective. Prepare for the group rather than stopping when the captain falls.
Find the encounter
- Search northwest of Svartrau Northern Crossroads, north of Ersol, for the house with the headhunters outside. This approach comes from ATH; the exact turn-by-turn route remains unconfirmed here.
- Approach the group and check that Matter of Honour enters your journal. Gamer Guides confirms approaching the headhunters as the trigger. A nearby hostile patrol alone is not proof that you found this activity.

Choose the response deliberately
- Read the captain conversation before confirming. The reference shows a confrontation response, a hunger response and a leaving response. Hunger is one recorded route, not a requirement: the documented duel objective supplies another route into the encounter.
- If you pursue the duel, remain ready for the rest of the unit. Do not interpret the captain’s promise as a verified peaceful resolution. The image does not establish what happens after choosing to leave.
Finish the active objective
- Defeat the remaining marked headhunters and check the active objective before leaving. If combat feels crowded, review blocking and counterattacks before trying again.
- Confirm the completed journal and Court entry. Gamer Guides lists three time segments for this activity. Check the actual reward notification and body loot; a fixed enemy count, equipment level and skill-point payout are not independently established here.
If the objective remains active, first check whether this quest actually triggered and whether a marked enemy remains. These are troubleshooting checks, not proof that every completion failure has the same cause.
