Follow Pieter to the mountain clearing, finish the sparring fight, then decide whether to wait for Mass. The final waiting choice matters when you still want to complete prologue detours.

Follow and train with Pieter

  1. Finish the Withering Away stage and track Pieter. Follow his mountain path to the open ruined courtyard; running ahead does not complete the conversation.
  2. Block his readable sword attacks and dodge attacks marked unblockable. After a thrust or kick, watch for the follow-up overhead attack before countering.
  3. Keep fighting until Pieter stops and begins the conversation. Do not leave simply because you landed a successful counter.

Rebellion dialogue is separate from waiting

ATH's dialogue comparison reports that supporting or opposing Pieter's rebellion plan does not change this conversation's outcome. Choose the attitude you prefer, then continue to the farewell choice. This does not make every choice inconsequential: waiting for Mass is a separate action, described below. Long-term hidden dialogue effects have not been tested here.

Preserve time for another quest

Before leaving, check that the Charge Manual reached your inventory. ATH's manual guide distinguishes receiving it from learning Charge: open Character Development items and read the manual, then visit a Shrine, open Swordmastery and inspect the Charge node. Pay only the Skill Point and time cost shown in your current game. If it remains locked, check whether the manual is unread and whether you have a point available; the duel reward alone does not equip the ability.

PowerPyx distinguishes the farewell choice from waiting with Pieter: choose See you then if you want to leave time for other tasks. Waiting advances directly toward Mass. All Things How describes the transition more broadly; do not read that as proof that training always skips the rest of the day.

Next objective

Review the prologue checklist, then proceed to Sacred Covenant. If sparring remains active, use combat checks rather than waiting to bypass the fight.
