Dawnwalker Brencis Banners are removed from inside five Svartrau gatehouses. Reach the room behind the flag and operate its rope. Cutting all five unlocks Capture the Flag; hitting a banner from the street is not the documented interaction.

Match the gate before climbing

These are ATH’s entrance descriptions, not a firsthand traversal test. Directions assume the stated approach; confirm the gate name in the journal before applying them.

Operate the rope inside

  1. Approach a flag marker and confirm the gate’s Banner of Oppression entry. Scouting the city towers can reveal the markers.
  2. Reach the upper gatehouse. At night, use Shadowstep with your own bindings; confirm the landing point before releasing it.
  3. Resolve the guards objective when present. Once inside, follow the banner objective to the wooden rope mechanism and interact.
  4. Check the gate-specific completion entry. Opening a nearby chest does not replace cutting the rope.
  5. Repeat for the other named gates, then inspect Capture the Flag in the platform achievement list.

Plan for the time advance

PowerPyx and Gamer Guides record one segment per flag. Five cuts therefore cost five segments, excluding other actions. Check the clock after each: do not assume Shadowstep remains available for the entire circuit after dawn arrives.

Still missing one?

Compare the five names with completed entries. Revisit a remaining flag marker and check whether you only reached the wall or looted its chest. Follow whichever gatehouse, guards or banner objective remains; a visited location is not proof of removal.
