The banner thief in Blasphemy is Premysl. Complete the shed investigation, question him about his injured hand and cane, then return to Gremla with the result. To protect her, arrange the banner's return or tell her who has it before Sacred Covenant.

Investigate, confront and report

  1. Talk to Gremla outside her shed in Laslea Glen. The quest opens after All Good Things. Ask to inspect the area.
  2. Examine the loom indoors. Then use Focus outside on the southern side of the shed to find the footprints.
  3. Inspect the footprint twice. The wide print excludes Gremla; the adjacent hole supplies the cane clue. Inspecting only the obvious print leaves part of the evidence unchecked.
  4. Follow the trail to the torn fabric near the fence. Rotate the scrap and inspect its reverse for blood. The resulting suspect profile combines a cane with a wounded hand.
  5. Find Premysl outside his house. ATH places him in the northeastern part of the search area, near the castle grounds and north of hay-covered fields. Confirm his name in conversation instead of treating any cane user as guilty.
  6. Ask about the banner, hand and cane, then accuse him. The accusation spends one time segment. You may go directly to him after the cane-search objective appears.
  7. Choose your response and return to Gremla. These are two separate decisions. Do not stop after receiving an amulet or hearing his confession.

Still told to investigate the shed?

Check which conclusion you have actually heard: damaged loom, cane impression, blood on the cloth, and an oversized footprint. The shed investigation account describes these as separate evidence checks, with three outside. Return to the missing clue and use its inspection prompt; a yellow outline alone does not record it. Accounts present the outdoor clues in different orders, so verify the journal changes to searching for cane users rather than assuming the footprint must always be your final interaction.

Optional suspect trail

Alois near Gremla can direct you to Otokar. Otokar's hand injury predates the theft; he points toward Dana. Dana sits near her fence with a walking stick and mentions Premysl's anger about the church.

This chain supplies context, but PowerPyx confirms it is optional. For the direct route, complete the physical evidence first, then visit Premysl. Focus highlighting alone does not establish guilt: more than one relevant villager can be highlighted.

Compare the two reward stages

| Decision | Recorded reward | | --- | --- | | Agree with Premysl: “Maybe you're right…” | 500 XP and Daylight Amulet | | Persuade him to return the banner, or remain unconvinced | 250 XP | | Tell Gremla “Premysl has it.”, or report the arranged return | 325 XP and 25 Denarius | | Tell Gremla you found nothing | 75 XP |

Agreeing first and then naming him to Gremla totals 825 XP, the amulet and 25 Denarius from the recorded stages. Persuading him to return it and reporting totals 575 XP and 25 Denarius. These are calculated sums, not extra rewards added to the individual stages.

An early ATH article instead lists 1,375 XP and 125 Denarius; that conflicts with the detailed branch records and is not used. No fixed amulet level or health percentage is promised.

Protect Gremla and finish the quest

If Premysl still has the banner, withholding his identity leaves Gremla exposed at Mass. The compared accounts describe her death when the missing banner is not resolved. Telling her who took it lets her handle the recovery; this is different from reporting him directly to the vrakhiri.

Some sources say arranging the return alone protects her even without another visit. For a complete quest route, still return, finish Gremla's conversation and check the journal before advancing the story. This avoids relying on an unverified no-report shortcut.

Missing accusation or unfinished investigation?

Recheck the second footprint detail and the reverse of the fabric, then raise both the hand and cane in dialogue. Use the current objective to distinguish unfinished evidence from unfinished questioning. This guide does not use ATH's Oakhaven or Leslee place names, a two-segment hard prerequisite, or a guaranteed level-up as success criteria.
