Search the corpse at the cliff bottom south of Bear's Maw for its Shrine's Heart, then return to install it. Gamer Guides corroborates the corpse and its relation to the shrine. The named quest item is the useful check; ordinary clothing or herbs are not proof you found the correct body.
Start from the broken shrine
- Inspect Bear's Maw and track its restoration objective. Use Focus to identify the trail leaving the site.
- Follow the tracks south toward the blood marks and descending rocky ground. ATH's accounts describe the route continuing down toward Briar Sloughs, rather than into a guarded camp.
- Descend in stages and search the corpse at the trail's end. Confirm Bear's Maw Shrine's Heart transfers to your inventory. If you already have it, proceed to the return step rather than searching again for duplicate loot.
The articles label the surrounding region differently. Follow the named shrine and local trail; a broad region name alone is insufficient to identify the destination. No verified map image has been added to this page.
Restore it, then test the menu
- Return uphill to Bear's Maw and use the restoration interaction. Inspect its time-cost prompt before confirming; finding the heart and placing it are separate actions.
- Check the quest outcome, then interact again for the normal shrine menu. Try Fast Travel to another active shrine; storage and perks are separate options.
If the heart remains in your bag and restoration is still the objective, recheck the selected shrine and interaction. If restoration completed but travel is unavailable, inspect the destination's activation rather than assuming another heart is required. See the shrine travel checks.
Missing loot or fading tracks
Return to the last inspected trail point and use Focus again when you lose the route. The two ATH accounts disagree on the corpse's extra equipment, herbs and money; none is required as a matching reward. This page does not promise a combat-free approach or that inspecting the shrine first is the only way to obtain the heart. Exact trigger variants remain unconfirmed.
