After the fall, escape through the southwest rock gap and climb the mine using the traversal tutorials. The route eventually uses both a wall and the ceiling; searching for a ladder at the bottom will not solve it.

Before the fall: follow the current mine objective

If your tracker still says Search for your father deeper in the mine, the escape route below is not your current stage. Follow Vladimir and the lit passage. When Aid Ludwig appears, approach the beam pinning him and complete its interaction; then continue toward the wounded Kostel for Help Kostel. Gamer Guides' journal record distinguishes these objectives from Find a way back up.

ATH's mine account describes pressing Kostel's wound to continue the encounter. Follow the current dialogue prompts; this guide does not claim a verified way to save him. Once the scene ends in the lower mine and the objective changes, begin the pit escape below.

Get out of the pit

  1. Squeeze through the southwest opening, crouch past the hanging bones, then follow the northeastern ledge.
  2. At the gap, aim Shadowstep at the opposite platform. Continue between platforms and follow the feeding tutorial if health is low.
  3. Defeat the kobold ambush, climb northwest, then cross toward the nest platform.

Climb the marked wall

Use the white-marked wall when Planeshift is introduced. Place your Shadowstep target high enough to preserve stamina for the ascent; at the edge use the corner-turn prompt. At the next oversized gap, target the ceiling surface above you, cross, drop down and follow the right-hand squeeze passage.

Return to Laslea

Use the Clawride prompt at the cliff. The Vladimir detour is optional: inspect the nearby soldier, follow the blood trail and deal with the enemies at the burning building. Continue the village objective afterwards. For the next mission, open Smoke and Ashes; do not mistake a mine exit for completion of every Bad Blood objective.

Before speaking to the roadside soldiers or Vladimir, check Vampiric Health. ATH's return route reports that Blood Craving at the last health segment can force a feeding outcome during dialogue. Feed on available wildlife first if you want to preserve the conversation. For Vladimir, inspect the corpse near the soldiers, follow its blood trail to the burning building, defeat the enemies outside and speak to him before continuing to Laslea.

Bright red tube in the mine

If you see a red tube marked as a developer asset, it is not an objective, collectible or route marker. ATH documented this placeholder in the launch-build prologue silver mine, probably where a log prop was intended. Its presence is version-dependent, so ignore it and continue following the active mine objective.

Must you beat Brencis in Bad Blood?

No. Losing this village fight advances the normal story. PowerPyx confirms it as the expected progression, so do not repeatedly reload because the objective says to defeat him. Winning the first form is an optional challenge with a different continuation.

If you attempt the optional win

  1. Preserve a save before the encounter so you can return to the regular campaign.
  2. Watch the attack marker: defend against blockable strikes, but evade the blood projectile and summoned blood-weapon attacks when marked unblockable.
  3. Use a short counterattack opening, then prepare to defend again. If Voracious Bite is available, check its actual charges and cooldown rather than assuming a quoted damage or healing value matches your character.
  4. After the first form falls, expect a transition into Anachora and another fight, not immediate credits. PowerPyx confirms the early Realmwalker unlock and true-form encounter.

What does the early victory prove?

The ATH articles report that defeating the second form can finish the story early. Their wording varies between asserting The Folk Hero and describing it as the likely outcome, so this page does not independently guarantee that achievement or every companion and family consequence.

For the later mechanics, see Brencis’s final fight. Your prologue equipment is a different starting condition. Claims of guaranteed full health at the transition, one-hit death in every setup, or an exact completion time remain unconfirmed here.
