Search the picnic northeast of Maragir, collect the knife, wine and seal, then follow the blood south to the armourer's daughter. Star-Crossed Lovers is an investigation with a tragic outcome; the cited routes do not offer a rescue branch.

Start and reach the picnic

  1. After Smoke and Ashes, speak to Maragir's Armourer about his missing daughter. Return in daylight if the dialogue is absent; daylight is also needed for Compel Soul. Complete planned shopping before the final report because his shop subsequently closes for a while.
  2. Follow the path past the shop's right side toward the northeast search area. Look on the path's left for a picnic and a dead man near a log, approximately central within the search zone. Handle animals that obstruct you; no fixed encounter count is required here.

Collect the evidence

  1. Take Small Knife and Bottle of Wine from the picnic. Search the sack for Brencis’s Seal and Recruitment Letter. The letter supplies context; the three catalyst objects are the knife, wine and seal.
  2. Use Compel Soul on Rovin during daylight and discuss each catalyst to uncover the full story. Investigating him before collecting items is not established as an irreversible failure: if dialogue options are missing, check the picnic again.
  3. Activate Focus Mode and follow the blood across the path toward the south or southeast. Defeat the wolves at the endpoint, then inspect Lujeta's face scratches, torn dress and bloodstained Manumit Orders.

Return and check the result

  1. Go back to the Armourer and finish the report. ATH describes telling the full account or withholding details, with the same reward; Gamer Guides records both a resolved mystery and a simple death-confirmation outcome. Do not confuse a completed missing-person report with investigating every clue.

The evidence connects Rovin to Brencis's army and Lujeta to the manumits. PowerPyx and ATH list 100 Denarii and one skill point; Gamer Guides corroborates the Minor Vitality Balm recipe. The extra XP amount and exact shop-reopening delay remain unconfirmed.
