The Knightly Ring comes from a buried treasure chest in the swamp north of Tantari Woods. Bring a shovel, find the island's rubble pile, dig, then take the ring from the chest. Budget one time segment for digging; collecting the item and meeting its equip requirements are separate checks.

Prepare a shovel

Check the Consumables inventory first: PowerPyx identifies the shovel there and says it is reusable. One documented pickup is at the eastern edge of Laslea Glen, near the bear encounter and that region's buried treasure. Other listed locations are the Briar Sloughs bandit camp and the camp between Maragir Wealds and St. Tyna's Grove. Keep the shovel rather than selling it after one treasure.

Follow the route

  1. Get the clue: visit the bandit camp in eastern Tantari Woods after entering the open world. Look on the wooden bench; use Focus to help identify the document.
  2. Read the map: open the Tantari Woods treasure map in inventory. Use its search area to orient yourself toward the northern swamp, rather than searching the camp for a buried chest.
  3. Reach the wetland: search the island terrain toward the northern side of that area. ATH describes a wooden bridge approach near Tantari Bog; treat the bridge as a local landmark, not a precise compass bearing from every starting point.
  4. Find the interaction: inspect the rubble and soil pile close to the trees. Stand beside the mound and use the displayed digging action with the shovel in inventory.
  5. Allow the time cost: digging costs one time segment according to PowerPyx. Check the prompt before confirming if you are close to a deadline.
  6. Collect and check: open the exposed chest and take Knightly Ring. Find it in your equipment inventory and inspect the requirement before trying to equip it.

Read the reference image

The image shows Coen digging beside a tree on wet ground. It is a close-up of the action and terrain, not a world-map coordinate or a picture of the ring's tooltip. The tracked Anca objective and remaining days belong to the source player's save; they are not prerequisites for this treasure.

If the route stalls

No digging action: check that you still carry the shovel and are targeting the mound itself. Searching nearby water or a sack is a different interaction. The shovel is reusable, so finishing another treasure does not by itself explain its absence.

No treasure map: ATH describes direct digging without first collecting the map. Getting the bench document is still the clearer route for a first visit. Its exact post-dig inventory behavior is not consistently documented.

Cannot equip the ring: inspect your own item's required level. ATH screenshots and descriptions disagree on fixed levels, so this guide does not promise immediate use at a particular level. Extra coins and companion loot also differ between reports.

What remains unconfirmed

One ATH page mentions another Knightly Ring in Kobolds' Nest. That duplicate route lacks sufficient direct confirmation here and is not a guaranteed alternative to this chest. For another equipment goal, see Isbrand's Greaves; do not assume its chest also guarantees this ring.

Check the tracked activity after looting

If you collected the map, check the Tantari Woods activity in the journal after taking the treasure. A different quest remaining on the HUD does not identify this treasure as incomplete. ATH reports no automatic exact pin, while PowerPyx describes a search radius: use journal tracking for the area and the visible mound for the final interaction, rather than expecting a precise treasure waypoint.

From Tantari Bog: confirm the stump and pools

ATH’s location article starts at Tantari Bog Shrine, crosses the wooden bridge northeast of it, then searches beside a stump and small pool. Use this as a local approach to the existing wetland route, not a compass direction from any starting position. At the mound, check the shovel interaction and loot the exposed chest.

The image below visibly lists Knightly Ring while Tantari Woods remains tracked. It confirms the item in this recorded chest, not a universal level, money amount or completion notification. Check your journal after taking the loot.
